The R S Prussia “Dice Players” series is one of the most well-known and sought-after collectibles of all R S Prussia scenic pieces. The boys playing dice are a copy of Spanish painter Bartolome Esteban Murillo's “Young Boys Playing Dice and Eating Fruit.” 12-1/2″ by 8-1/2″ and 3-1/2″ high. This is a rare and outstanding, molded, oval bowl with open handles. Marked with the red “R.S. Prussia” mark. This 100+ year-old bowl is in near pristine condition with a rich, green background accented with scattered leaves. The gilded flowers around the “Six Point and Clover” rim show very slight or no wear at all. No crazing, chips, cracks, hairlines, or restorations.
